The Half-Inch series was designed to make a wide area useful to the traveller, showing how settlements, routes, and terrain fitted together rather than concentrating on property-level detail.

The interest is often in the regional pattern: how a town relates to neighbouring places, transport routes, water, and higher ground. The series is especially recognisable for its layer colouring, with greens across lower ground and browns and paler tones used as elevation rises. This particular source was published in 1903.

About the product

Made to order.
